The following changes and bug fixes will be implemented for Season 9 Patch 9.0.

*As of 7/29/2025, the latest version for all platforms is as follows:

  • Update Data Ver. 1.9.0
  • Other Changes

    • When boarding the escape time machine while Ultimate Dragon Changed with a super transphere, that super transphere will respawn nearby.
      *Each time a super transphere is respawned, the maximum Limit Gauge for Ultimate Dragon Changes will decrease.
    • Attacks from Ba on the Dangerous Ground map will no longer end Ultimate Dragon Changes.
    • When a pursuit character summoned by a raider skill lands certain close-range attacks on a survivor, the raider-side player will hear the sound effect that plays when a Ki Blast, Ki Wave, or other long-range attack lands on a target.
    • Raider custom voices will no longer be interrupted by voices that play during attacks and other actions.
    • Civilians taken out by area destruction attacks or raider Broly’s evolution stage 2 Super Attack “Plant Crusher” and similar attacks will no longer count toward the weekly challenge “Finish off 10 civilian(s) as a raider. (Some raiders rescue civilians instead.)”
      *They will still count toward the final VS civilian rating during results.
    • The effect of the survivor active skill “Cook” will no longer apply in the following situations:
      └ Moving underwater or in the air while using the Puar or Fortuneteller Baba character skin.
      └ Moving on land while transformed into Orange Piccolo (Giant) with a super transphere.
    • The effect of the survivor passive skill “Trained by an Angel” will no longer apply in the following situations:
      └ Moving while Dragon Changed with the passive skill “Final Dragon Change.”
      └ Moving in the air while transformed into Orange Piccolo (Giant) with a super transphere.
    • After the successive hit portion of the transphere Super Attack “Symphonic Destruction” begins, the user will no longer instantly snap toward their locked-on target.
    • If the transformation triggered by the transphere Super Attack “Final Explosion” is interrupted by damage, the explosion’s hitbox will disappear.

    Overview of Resolved Bugs

    • Fixed an issue on the Waterfront Warzone map where supply drops would get caught on the super time machine under certain conditions.
    • Fixed an issue with the raider and survivor active skill “Scouter” and the item “Scouter” where, if the skill/item’s use was canceled after the camera’s vertical angle was changed, the camera angle from the previous use would be carried over if the skill/item was used again.
    • Fixed an issue with the following raiders where moving at the same time as a survivor and using a close-range attack on them would cause the attack to miss:
      └ Raiders Frieza and Golden Frieza evolution stage 2
      └ Raider Ginyu Force evolution stage 1
    • Fixed an issue with raider Vegeta’s evolution stage 1 self-destruct attack where Saibamen on the ground would charge along the ground instead of into the air when attempting to attack an airborne survivor.
    • Fixed multiple issues with the following attacks when hitting an airborne Dragon Changed survivor, such as failing to deal damage on hit:
      └ Raider Ginyu Force evolution stage 3 active skill “Let’s Do This, Burter!”
      └ Raider Golden Frieza evolution stage 4 active skill “Gaaah!”
    • Fixed an issue with raider Ginyu Force evolution stage 1 active skill “Time Freeze” and Super Attack “Paralysis” where the freezing effect would not apply when hitting survivors that match the descriptions below:
      └ Successfully linked with an ally’s active skill “I’ll Thank You Just This Once” and the Dragon Change has not yet ended
      └ Moving using the passive skill “That All?”
      └ Moving using the passive skill “Dole Out Vengeance”
    • Fixed an issue with raider Broly evolution stage 3 Super Attack “Blaster Meteor” and evolution stage 3–4 active skill “Omega Blaster” where the barrier could hit survivors through cover.
    • Fixed an issue with raider Zamasu & Goku Black evolution stage 4 active skill “Sin Worthy of Death” where the charge attack would fail to hit survivors that are riding vehicles.
    • Fixed an issue with raider Zamasu & Goku Black evolution stage 4 Super Attack “Light of Justice” where the attack would be canceled immediately after activation even when being hit from behind with certain attacks such as the survivor active skill “Go-Go Gum.”
    • Fixed an issue with raider Baby evolution stage 2 Super Attack “Big Bang Attack” where the damage dealt by the explosion was lower than expected.
    • Fixed an issue with raider Gamma 1 & Gamma 2 evolution stage 1 to 3 where the invincibility period after evolving was shorter than expected.
    • Fixed an issue with raider Gamma 1 & Gamma 2 evolution stage 1 to 3 active skill “Android Barrier” where the barrier would be destroyed when touching a survivor under the effects of the passive skill “That All?”
    • Fixed an issue with raider Gamma 1 & Gamma 2 evolution stage 1 to 3 active skill “Android Barrier” where the attack would sometimes fail to hit a survivor when the raider and survivor both unleash a close-range attack while the raider’s evolution stage is lower than the survivor’s Dragon Change level.
    • Fixed an issue with raider Gamma 1 & Gamma 2 evolution stage 4 (Cell Max) active skill “Max Barrier” where the wide-range shockwave could destroy placed vehicles.
    • Fixed an issue with raider Golden Frieza evolution stage 4 active skill “Gaaah!” where the attack would be unable to destroy vending machines and skill gimmicks.
    • Fixed an issue with raider Golden Frieza evolution stage 4 (Golden Frieza) active skill “Golden Frieza” where, if another active skill, a Super Attack, or area destruction was activated at the same time the Golden Frieza transformation ended, the skill would still be treated as being used despite the action being canceled.
      Active skills, Super Attacks, and area destruction will no longer be usable once conditions for ending a transformation are met.
    • Fixed an issue with raider Golden Frieza evolution stage 4 (Golden Frieza) where, if the active skill “Golden Frieza” transformation ended during the ritual to summon Shenron, and if the “Make Me Immortal!” wish was granted, Frieza would be unable to take certain actions afterward.
    • Fixed an issue with raider Golden Frieza evolution stage 4 active skill “Death Slicer Barrage” where landing Ki Blasts on Bubbles summoned by survivor active skill “Get Out Here, Bubbles!” would not make Bubbles disappear.
    • Fixed an issue where items would sometimes disappear when attempting to acquire them the moment Dragon Change ends.
    • Fixed an issue with survivor active skill “Fake Death” where the attack would fail to hit despite the raider being within the attack range through cover.
    • Fixed an issue with the active skill “Item Search” where item boxes would sometimes not be highlighted despite being within the effect’s range.
    • Fixed an issue with Dragon Changing via active skills “Power Unleashed” or “Flash of Rage” where, after cooldown time is recovered with passive skill “Shenron’s Gift,” the skills would enter cooldown again if the Dragon Change ends without using them a second time.
    • Fixed an issue with the active skill “Power Unleashed” where, if “Power Unleashed” is used while the Ultimate Dragon Change Limit Gauge is under a certain amount and Super Attack Limit Gauge consumption is currently reduced, Super Attack Limit Gauge consumption will continue to be reduced even during the Dragon Change entered via “Power Unleashed.”
    • Fixed an issue on the survivor side with the active skill “Flash of Rage” where the survivor would be unable to proceed when using the skill while not Dragon Changed at the same time as getting infected by raider Baby at evolution stage 1.
    • Fixed an issue with the active skill “Flash of Rage” where the skill would not enter cooldown after the action is interrupted by an attack during the period just after Dragon Changing to just before the charge attack begins.
    • Fixed an issue with survivor active skill “Flames of Mt. Frypan” where it could destroy other survivors’ devices summoned with active skills “Enemy Radar” and “Trap Device.”
    • Fixed an issue with survivor active skill “Get Out Here, Bubbles!” where Bubbles would fail to properly jump at a raider located directly above or directly below the user.
    • Fixed an issue with survivor active skill “Get Out Here, Bubbles!” where a lock-on mark would still appear on survivors when the following attacks hit, despite Bubbles clinging to the raider:
      └ Raider Ginyu Force evolution stage 2 active skill “Recoome Kick”
      └ Raider Broly evolution stages 2 to 4 active skill “Gigantic Charge”
      └ Raider Baby evolution stage 2 active skill “Wild Buster”
      └ Raider Gamma 1 & Gamma 2 evolution stages 1 to 3 active skill “Gamma Strike”
    • Fixed an issue with survivor active skill “Flashbang” where, if the flash grenade was thrown from behind the raider and landed in front of them, it would not immobilize the raider despite detonating within their field of vision.
    • Fixed an issue with survivor active skill “Shapeshift (Bat)” where, if a character summoned by the raider’s skill approaches a survivor while transformed with “Shapeshift (Bat),” the survivor’s location would be shown on the raider’s screen even while not being locked on.
      *Like with the active skill “Shapeshift (Camouflage),” the survivor’s location will show on the raider’s screen if they are locked on.
    • Fixed an issue with survivor passive skill “Dole Out Vengeance” where a character under this skill’s effect could not be knocked back by something such as a raider attack.
      *Like with the active skill “Energy Field,” the character will be able to be knocked back.
    • Fixed an issue with survivor passive skill “Dole Out Vengeance” where a character under this skill’s effect would be downed when hit with the following attacks:
      └ Stomping attack of raider Vegeta evolution stage 4 Super Attack “Running Won’t Save You!”
      └ Stomping attack of raider Baby evolution stage 4 Super Attack “I’ll Eradicate You All in One Fell Swoop!”
      *Like with the active skill “Energy Field,” the character will not take damage from the above attacks.
    • Fixed an issue with survivor passive skill “Dole Out Vengeance” where, if an animation shown on the raider and all survivors’ screens plays, the skill’s effect would be lost after the animation finishes.
    • Fixed an issue with the following transphere Super Attacks where they would deal more damage than expected when hitting characters summoned by raider skills.
      └ Rebellion Spear
      └ Gigantic Charge
      └ God Punisher
      └ Emperor’s Death Beam
      └ Spirit Ball
    • Fixed an issue with the transphere Super Attack “Special Beam Cannon” where the attack could be more easily negated than expected when hitting an opponent’s Ki Blast or Ki Wave.
    • Fixed an issue with transphere Super Attack “Innocence Cannon” where the Knockback Gauge reduction triggered by the explosion was lower than expected.
    • Fixed an issue where co-op emotes such as “Two-Person Rock-Paper-Scissors” could not be canceled during the motion by actions such as Dragon Changes or movement.

    Fixed various minor bugs as well.

    Other

    The “Link with DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 2” feature will end with the start of Season 9.
    *After Season 9 begins, you will no longer be able to link with DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 2 or claim any related rewards.
